Dr. Stephen Wanger

Stephen P. Wanger (Ph.D., Purdue University) is an Associate Professor of Higher Education Administration, Program Coordinator of the Higher Education and Student Affairs program in the College of Education, Health & Aviation.

 

His research explores international issues in higher education, with a particular emphasis on efforts across the globe to create regional areas for higher education. This research emphasis embraces considerations such as transnational and national public policy, student and faculty mobility, the finance of higher education, curricula development, the leadership of change, and institutional and disciplinary stratification.

 

Dr. Wanger has been instrumental in the development of program collaborations with universities in Thailand, Vietnam, Belize, Mexico, and China. He is a recipient of the Regents Distinguished Teaching Award, the College of Education International Education & Outreach Excellence Award, the College of Education Teaching Excellence Award, and has served as a Fellow in the Houston Higher Education Finance Roundtable.
