Direct Partner Health & Safety Program
All students traveling as participants in OSU Study Abroad Programs are required to be enrolled in OSU's Health and Safety Program. This program includes basic emergency medical insurance, online trainings, and other resources designed to help you prepare for your time abroad and create a healthy, successful learning experience. As of 2025, the costs for OSU insurance are:
- 0-8 weeks abroad: $375
- 9-16 weeks: $600
- 17-24 weeks: $775
- 24+ weeks: $1225

Requirements
OSU provides amandatory insurance policy for all students and non-employee travelers with approved travel to ensure anyone traveling abroad through OSU meets all institutional requirements.
