Educating a New Generation of Global Leaders

Short-Term Summer Programs

The Short-Term SGSP Summer Programs at OSU promote international research, education, trade and development on behalf of Oklahoma State University and the state of Oklahoma through coordination of collaborative projects, outreach to state, national and international audiences; and the building of worldwide linkages.

The principle goals are:

  • To promote international education, research, trade and outreach on behalf of OSU and Oklahoma.
  • To serve as an international resource center to support the needs of public and private sectors, both locally and globally.

Currently, there are three different Short-Term SGSP Summer Programs available each year, including the High School Summer Academy, Experience Oklahoma and Faculty-Led programs. If none of these programs fit your needs, we can adapt a current program or design a new one to fit the needs of your organization.

Each program provides students with opportunities to participate in field trips to visit places of cultural and educational importance and entertainment purposes in both Oklahoma and Texas.

Experience Oklahoma

Experience Oklahoma is a cultural immersion experience focused on entrepreneurship. Students can choose between a one, two, three or four-week programs and one-on-one or group programs, all designed to grow students' abilities as a leader, communicator and manager.

Students will take classes in leadership, entrepreneurship, English/public-speaking, institutional management and the American culture.  These classes and programs can be tailored for the needs of each participating group.

Faculty-Led Programs

Faculty-Led programs allow for professors to take their classes on a curated, academic study abroad experience in the U.S. These programs are designed with input from the visiting faculty and will pack a semester's worth of material into one month. Participating students will have the full experience of attending an American university and receive course credit for their home institution. Customized classes in a variety of academic disciplines are available. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a certificate.
