OSU's Watters receives SGSP's Global Education Faculty Excellence Award
Dr. Craig Watters, professor in OSU’s School of Entrepreneurship and director of the new Riata Institute for Global Social Entrepreneurship, has been awarded the 2017-2018 Global Education Faculty Excellence Award in recognition of his extensive international experience and his work with broadening the global impact of Oklahoma State University.
The annual award, which includes a $1,000 stipend, signifies special recognition awarded by the School of Global Studies and Partnerships to faculty members who have distinguished themselves through excellence in international teaching, research, and/or outreach programs and activities.
This marks the 14th anniversary of this award, which began in the 2004-2005 academic year. OSU has a long history of global interaction, and this activity has contributed greatly to the University’s legacy and mission in research, teaching, and extension.
The award process included a nomination from Dr. Watters’ home college and a voting process by the School of Global Studies and Partnerships International Advisory Committee who represent academic units across OSU.
Dr. Randy Kluver, Dean of the School of Global Studies and Partnerships, presented the award to Dr. Watters at the University Awards Convocation on Tuesday, Dec. 4, in the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center on the OSU-Stillwater campus.
