Shida Henneberry, Ph.D.
Dr. Shida Henneberry is a Regents Professor of Agricultural Economics, director of the Master of International Agriculture Program, and the Humphreys Chair in International Studies. During her 28 years as a member of the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources faculty, Shida has established a nationally and internationally recognized record of global education through her teaching and research programs.
Dr. Henneberry has devoted her career to helping students succeed, and she has accomplished this task by preparing students to work in a globally integrated market. During her tenure at OSU, Shida has served as the major advisor to 135 graduate students and 33 international visiting scholars and post-doctoral researchers. Dr. Henneberry has authored over one-hundred publications in the areas of agricultural market development, food demand and nutrition analysis, international trade, and teaching effectiveness. Most of her publications are co-authored with her graduate students.
Dr. Henneberry’s successful research, teaching, and outreach programs has won her several prestigious and national awards, most recently the OSU Outstanding Faculty Study Abroad Leader Award, the International Education Faculty Excellence Award, and the Distinguished Graduate Teaching Award from the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association. She was the commencement speaker at OSU’s Graduate College Ceremonies in December 2012.
